Was born July 4, 1932 in Rostov-on-Don, RSFSR. After graduating from Chisinau University in 1957, worked as a chemist-analyst at the Central Research Laboratory “Sahartrest” in Krasnodar (1957-1958). In 1958-1962 was a junior researcher at the Krasnodar Branch of the All-Union Petroleum Research Institute, in 1962-1967 was a graduate student, junior researcher, senior researcher at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, a senior research of Institute of colloid chemistry AS USSR (1967-1977), Senior Researcher, Head of Structural Laboratory, Chief Researcher at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the AS USSR (1977-1991), Senior Researcher at the Institute of Sorption and Endoecology of the NASU (1991-1996).
In 1965 became a candidate, and in 1973 became a doctor of chemical sciences. Winner of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in Science and Technology (1969). Died on August 5, 1996 in Kyiv.
Specialist in physico-chemistry and physico-chemical mechanics of dispersed systems. Itemized the methods of colloid-chemical studies, structural-mechanical and rheological analyzes. Investigated the physicochemical mechanics of thermosetting wash liquids. Developed a new scientific direction, namely preparation of dispersed materials and special coatings, regulation of the aggregate and structural properties of aqueous and non-aqueous systems of these materials under extreme conditions. Developed the scientific basis for obtaining new sorption materials based on natural clay minerals (paligorskite, vermiculite, etc.) for the clarification and stabilization of aqueous solutions of various types. Worked on physicochemical methods of analysis of dispersed minerals and washing liquids on their basis for deep and super deep drilling. Author of scientific papers and popular books on clay, its healing and other properties.
