He was born on October 8, 1918 in Popovka village, now Novgorod-Siversky district of the Chernihiv region. Participant of the II World War, has military awards. In 1937 he graduated from the Mining and Chemical Technical School in Kirovsk (Murmansk region, Russia), and in 1947 in absentia - Leningrad Industrial Institute. Since then he has been working at the Kola branch of the AS USSR (Kirovsk). Since 1956 he worked as the head of the chemistry laboratory. Under his guidance the technologies of processing minerals of the Kola Peninsula and the complex processing of titanium-niobium ores have been developed. After defending his doctoral dissertation, in 1962-1988 worked at the IGIC. He carried out scientific research in the field of inorganic chemistry and chemical technology of non-ferrous and rare metals. Has published more than 130 scientific works, several scientific monographs, among them two great ones, namely "Chemistry of Niobium and Tantalum" and "Chemistry of Titanium". Died on October 14, 2006.
