Title: | Josephson junctions on the base of the magnesium diboride thin films |
Type of product: | Release of new product: technology |
Description: | Unique technology for synthesis of the Josephson junctions on the base of the magnesium diboride thin films has been developed, in their technological cycle it contains the methods of magnetron sputtering, of electron beam and thermal evaporations of the components in vacuum with the following their deposition on the dielectric substrates. This allows i) a task-oriented controlling of the dispersion of the grains nanostructure of the semiconducting (doping by metal inclusions) thin films, from which the Josephson junction tunnel barriers are fabricated, also ii) allows to control a content and concentration of the dopants in the barriers, as a result there is possible iii) to control transparency distribution function in the barriers and the value of the superconducting Josephson critical current density of the junctions (which are fabricated) and the junctions characteristic voltage value (the product of the Josephson critical current on the junction resistance in the normal state). In a single cycle this technology allows to fabricate the superconducting Josephson junctions, which are modified for the specific functional tasks (rate of operation, sensitivity, resolution, noise protection etc.). |
Technical advantages: | |
The economic benefits: | The technology is simple, more energy efficient compared with other known technologies of the fabricating of the superconducting Josephson junctions, and allows to obtain superconducting Josephson junctions having various geometry configurations with a wide range of structural and functional properties under minimal changes in the technological cycle. The realization of this technology of fabrication of the superconducting Josephson junctions gives a possibility to satisfy the market demands flexibly. |
