Nanochemistry Purpose:Development of methods and technology of the athermic preparation of the sorbent based on natural clinoptilolite with chemosorptionally applied Manganese dioxide nanoclusters; the adjustment, in the actual industrial conditions, of the technologic parameters of the processes of demanganation and de-ironing of artesian drinking water based on thus developed sorbent to be used in the design and implementation of industrial demanganation and de-ironing plants at the water supply stations in Ukraine Expected results:Release of new product: technology Stage 1:The development of chemisorption- based athermal method for the application of Manganese dioxide onto the surface of granulated clinoptilolite in the laboratory conditions Stage 2:Studies of the impact of preliminary aeration and alkalisation of inlet water for the optimisation of the process of removal of Mn(II) and Fe(II) compounds using the filtration method in the laboratory conditions Stage 3:Development of pilot filtering station fot the preparation of the filtering nanosorbent in actual industrial conditions. Adjustment of technological parameters of the sorbent operation and regeneration in the process of purification of natural artesian water Stage 4:Development of, studies into, and adjustment of the pilot two-stage scheme applied for de-ironing and demanganation of artesian water involving the application of the nanosorbent in the actual industrial conditions Stage 5:Development of technological flow chart and practical recommendations for the design and implementation of the stations of the de-ironing and demanganation of artesian water using the sorbent based on natural clinoptilolite with chemosorptionally applied Manganese dioxide nanoclusters
