Science during the war: how scientists help bring victory closer

The guests of the new episode of the program “Security Talks” on the “Apostrophe TV” channel were the director of the V.K. Mamutov Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the NAS of Ukraine, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine Volodymyr Ustymenko, and the head of the Scientific Committee of the National Council on Science and Technology Development, deputy director of the Kyiv Academic University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Oleksandra Antonyuk.

In an interview with the host of the program Valentyn Badrak, they discussed the main challenges facing Ukrainian science, namely: why Ukraine is losing its scientific and technological potential, whether there is communication between the authorities and science, whether Ukrainian business and science can work together, how to retain scientists in the country and provide decent working conditions, how the state should determine priorities in scientific developments, what the research focus of NAS of Ukraine scientists is today, what contribution scientists make to strengthening national security and defense, and whether Ukraine can become one of the leaders in science and technology in the future.
