Makarenko Iryna Borysivna was born on June 4, 1962, in Kyiv. In 1969 - 1979 she studied at the secondary school №5 in the Bila Tserkva town, Kyiv region. In 1982 Makarenko I.B. graduated with honor the 1st geophysical department of the Kyiv Geological Prospecting College and, after that, she was assigned to the Institute of Geophysics by S.I.Subbotin name of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 1983 she entered the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on the correspondence department of the Geological Faculty. In 1989 Makarenko I.B. received the specialty "Geophysical methods of exploration and exploration of mineral deposits". In 1992 she enrolled in correspondence postgraduate studies at the Institute of Geophysics by S.I.Subbotin name of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, specialty 04.00.22 "Geophysics", which graduated in 1996. In 1997 Makarenko I.B. received Candidate of Sciences degree in geology and mineralogy. The thesis topic is "The structure of the crust of the Black Sea depression according to the data of gravity modeling". During 2008—2011 she was a doctoral student in the Institute of Geophysics by S.I.Subbotin name of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Since 2015 until the present time Makarenko I.B. works as a leading researcher.
