| The literary anthology "The First Wreath", published in Lviv in 1887, despite a rather long and controversial publishing history, became an unprecedented unifying appearance, the first book of its kind, which showed how "Rus-Ukraine, divided politically, knits together with the help of literature" (N. Kobrynska). This publication has forever gone down in the history of the literary process, the Ukrainian press, and the women's movement as an important manifestation of unification progress and an intellectual result of the consolidation efforts of all Ukrainian women on both sides of the imperially divided Ukraine. |
