The aim of the study was to reveal mechanisms of pathogenesis induced by herbicides in order to improve chemical method of weeds control. It was established in the course of this research that process of programmed cell death takes part in the pathogenesis induced by the most effective modern herbicides – inhibitors of acetyl-CoA-carboxylase and acetolactatsynthase. It was determined, that this herbicide phytotoxic action dependence of environmental condition and changes of selective phytotoxicity during complexing are conditioned by participation of oxygen active forms in induced pathogenesis. This study showed the possibility of increase of herbicides phytotoxic action by stimulation of induced reaction, particularly by using of intermediates of plants signaling system. Determination that programmed cell death takes part in herbicides induced pathogenesis, deepens our understanding of mechanisms of this process, and present itself as precondition for modern research methods implementation of search for herbicides with phytotoxic mechanisms different from existing ones. The investigation of the role of antioxidant-prooxidant balance in determination of herbicides interaction effects is the theoretical base for creation of herbicides complexes and mixtures with increased selective phytotoxicity. Specifically, synergic mixture of herbicides with increased selectivity to soybean implemented in practice of agricultural production. 31 scientific treatises were published based on the results of conducted study, and among them monograph “The weed control by herbicides in agricultural crops sowing”, 11 scientific papers (2 in foreign journals) and 18 thesis of reports. The scientific research and development have been confirmed by obtaining of Ukrainian patent “The method of determination of compounds that increase herbicides action on sensitive plants”.
