Born in May 1905 in the village Vyl'ne (until 1918 - Tsarevka) of the Korop district of Chernihiv region. After graduating from Vinnitsa Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute (1930) he entered the postgraduate course of the Institute of Chemistry. In 1934-1940 he worked as a scientist, and after defending his PhD thesis in 1944 - as a senior researcher in a special purpose laboratory. Research Shokola OA on open topics and PhD thesis were devoted to problems of catalytic synthesis of alcohols under pressure. For a long time (10 years) he combined scientific work with the activity of secretary of the institute.
Since 1949 he worked in the Laboratory of liquid elements, was engaged in the development of new methods of obtaining waist and germanium. Developed a method of extraction of thallium from cadmium waste, amalgam method of obtaining high-purity thallium, Studied the extraction of germanium from the ashes of thermal power plants to prepare high purity germanium dioxide, the interaction of indium with selenium, tellurium, selenium ions, and selenic acid etc.
He was awarded the Order of Labor Red Banner and the medal "For Valuable Labor in the Great Patriotic War".
He was co-author of about 50 scientific papers. In 1970 he retired.
