Olena Mikolaevna Titov was born on July 18, 1952 in Kyiv, in the family of the design engineer of the builder Nikolai Titov and the architect Iryna Titova (Mezhevich). In 1960-1970 he studied at secondary school No. 79, which she graduated with a gold medal. He entered the historical faculty of the Kiev State University named after. T. G. Shevchenko. After the first year, she began to participate in archaeological expeditions, when under the leadership of L. Slavin and Y. Kozub worked on the necropolis of the ancient city of Olbia. Since 1975 he worked in the group on the study of the Stone grave of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1980, she entered the graduate school at the Institute of Archeology with a break from production. Professor D. Ya. Telegin was appointed the scientific leader, along with whom she worked until the last days of the life of this Ukrainian scholar. The theme of the dissertation research successfully protected in 1985 was the cultural and chronological characteristics of the Neolithic of the Middle Dnieper. In the status of the junior scientific and research worker of the Stone Age department, Titov guided excavations and explorations at the Neolithic monuments of Chernigov and Sumy, Cherkasy region. O. Titova's new stage in the creative biography began in 1990 when, in the competition, she was promoted to the post of leading expert on the archeological monuments of the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. In 1997-2010 he worked as an associate professor of the Department of Museology and Cultural Heritage Protection of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, where he read author courses "Memory", "Passports of Historic and Cultural Monuments", "Monuments of Monumental Art", " Monuments and memorable places of the Ukrainian Cossacks "," The most famous museums of the world ". Today Olena Mikolaevna Titova is the director of the Center for the Study of Nationalities of Science of Ukraine and UTOPIK, the deputy chairman of the NO "UTOPIK".
